DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” — Lao Tzu

Success in the CIS Training Systems’ Junior Development Program requires establishing good habits while building a solid foundation of skills and strategies for mental focus, social and physical improvement, and overall development.

Juniors (under 18 years old) are dynamic learners sensitive to familial, social, academic, and athletic expectations. Our mission is to secure a balance of these while generating pure excitement and commitment to consistent and productive training.

To achieve this, our coaches rely on mutual communication, cooperation, and collaboration with the junior’s parent or guardian (and in some cases, their teacher(s) and team coach(es)) to address the everyday anxieties and stresses that impact a junior’s current lifestyle.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Youth Cycling Experience

When kids learn to ride a bike, they gain their first taste of freedom and independence. Cycling is often taken to the next level as they explore the sport further. Today, youth and junior riders across the U.S. are experiencing the thrill of cycling competition. Whether competing with their high school mountain bike team, racing alongside family in cyclocross events, or testing their speed at a local velodrome, cycling offers an exciting journey from rider to racer.

"Having joined CIS at the age of 13, I have had the chance to develop and mature while learning the tools of CIS Training Systems. I did not just become a much faster rider but a stronger and smarter person in the process. I know the lessons I have learned so far will better prepare me for my life, and I have the CIS coaches and fellow members to thank for these invaluable experiences!" — Benedict Lloyd Roth, Black Belt Member
